In response to the growing demand for increasingly larger and more complex forming tools, weba Werkzeugbau recognized the need to expand its resources and capabilities in the area of milling. The decision to opt for the 5-axis machining center VM 6535 from TRIMILL, a renowned manufacturer, was the result of extensive analyses and evaluations of various machine concepts. This machine, specifically developed for tool and mold making, is characterized by its demand-oriented configuration, outstanding processing quality, and high precision. With a working space of 6,500 mm in the X-axis and 3,500 mm in the Y-axis, it enables efficient and precise machining of large workpieces.

Furthermore, the VM 6535 impresses with its thermodynamic design and the possibility of automatic milling head change, ensuring optimal results in processing. Its high travel speed and wide range of applications meet the demanding machining requirements in toolmaking in the best possible way.

To ensure the required precision for large working areas, a solid foundation of over 300 m³ of concrete and 17,000 kg of steel was constructed. This structure ensures maximum stability and minimizes vibrations, which are crucial for the quality of the milling process.
